You're right, I do tend to get a little paranoid when it comes to computer security or plain technology security

Sorry to Eran or Amy if I came off as an a*****e, or disrespectful, did not mean that, was just voicing my opinion.
Whatever.

You basically tried to ruin my innocent project. I want to try to help the community, but you made it out to be something ugly and hurt my chances of getting more research done.

All because of a fanciful theory you have. Now you're out nothing, but I'm out my project.

You've made yourself out to be no better than the troll from Honda-Tech.

holy cheese balls this blew up since yesterday  wtf! good thing its in off topic so i don't have to fukin clean up :rolf:

i personally don't have a problem with Amy having my vin. the only way you can track the location of the current owner would be through the DMV to see who the car is currently registered to. even the tax auditors office doesnt store a complete vin number for vehicles (at least not in my county). any random dealership wouldnt have that information unless you happened to hack into the exact dealership that the owner bought the car from. and even then you'd only have the original buyers information, and not any 2nd or 3rd owner info.

amy, when i get a chance ill get you my vin for an FBP si
