I'm actually used to seeing these two fads in conjuntion with one another.

I wouldn't say I've ever jumped onto either bandwagon though. I've not liked cf hoods for years. I mean... they look okay on other people's cars I guess... just not mine. It feels good to know I choose what I liked because it's what I like and has nothing to do with what other people like. Well, okay, so the only person I might even ask is Jason and it's more along the lines of, "I want this," and then he replies. I can't remember him ever saying he didn't like something and my mind changing because of it.

no you dont. there hasnt been hoodpins on my car ever. ive had a cf hood going on 3 years now. ive even been in a accident where my front end got pushed in. my hood release holds strong.

ditto to this.

i wrecked my car and the hinges buckled, not the latch. The latch was twisted/trashed, but it was STILL hangin onto the hood. The hood cracked in 2, the hings buckled @ the pivot point, and the bolts stripped out of the hood (where it mounts to the hinges). My point being, i see no need for hood pins.

It's not about he latch... it's about the hook the latch grabs onto. The latch has a safety on it anyway. All you need for failure of the hook is for it to not be properly secured to the hood.

No worries. Went back to see her today...they already tore off the front basically...fender, bumper, hood and lights.....went to deliver CTR style lights...gotta deliver quarter support and front reinforcement now. Hood is on its way
