You talkin' about:
hiding wires for Radar Detectors?
the lighter adaptor gay neon tubing people buy from Autozone?
misc. devices (amp, computer, tv, whatever) in your trunk/headrest/dash?

For #1, drill holes in the dash?
For #2, don't buy them.. no matter how cool you think they are.
For #3, I always hide them under carpet in plastic conduits. Fasten them with Zip ties around other harneses leading in the same direction, or remove/restitch seat covers.

Engine bay - your on your own.. that s**t's always tricky - with heat problems and/or short problems around every other turn.

Keep it off the hot spots, and away from your suspension.. =) Pinching/melting a poorly routed wire and killing your whole setup sucks.

ok, I assume the light in your vent is already behind the dash and hidden. As far as the others, there are plenty of wires underneath the dash that you can just tie them to using zipties.

I am going to hi-jack this and ask how you take off the plastic piece around the door where the fuel & trunk release are... I need to hide my amp power wire, but its too think to push under there so I need to take it off to hide it under it, I already have it to the side of the rear seat and all that stuff, thats the only part I have left to hide... 97 coupe.. thanks =)

all you need to do is pry between the plastic and the door frame (an actual door panel remover works best but if you're very careful with a flat tip screwdriver you can do it. It won't come completely off but enough that you can run the wire through there.

On a side note I'd recommend running your RCA cables down the driver side and run the power and remote line down the passenger. Seeing as the battery is on the passenger it's a lot easier and cleaner.

True... but there was already a hole in the firewall on the driver side, I just used some zipties and tried to hide it as best as I could, might just put some black wire loom over it to hide it even more under the hood. I can always re-do it I wanted... thanks for the info though.

that being the case make sure you run the RCA's down the passenger side

Why's that? all of the wires should be able to fit shouldn't they?

they will fit no problem. however when you run rca cables side-by-side electrical cables, you increase the chance of engine noise and other electrical noises crossing over into the audio cables. keeping them seperate will eliminate this and give you nice clean sound

good call on the RCA's. i have mine running the passenger side, and power/rem running on the drivers side cause thats where i had a hole. its also easier should anything go wrong, you will always know which wires are where.

What I did to run my amp wire (and yes, that stupid plastic piece doesn't come off), I took a wire hanger, undid it and fished it through. Then attached the amp wire on the hanger and pulled it through. Worked great and a lot ezier on your hands from trying to pry it sorta open. Good luck.

Yes I ran my amp wire through the driver side b/c of that opening in the fire wall. The amp is on the driver side and rca on the passenger side. Running all those wires was a huge pain (as it was my first time) but it was a great learning experience.

Damn, that was a long reply =)
