i tried the same thing with my stock airbox and ran an extra piece of metal intake pipe through the hole in the chassis. works great, although i don't have as much throttle response as my short ram did, but better top end. the bottom end is a bit laggy vs. short ram. I was also thinking about changing the stock filter element for my cone filter on the end of my piping, but i heard that flatstyle filter elements flow better! thnx. great write up!
