okay, i spent the past 30 minutes looking up any JDM/CDM DX cluster and FINALLY found on example where it's lit up at night:

So thanks a bunch to @VTi_ME for posting his photos which helped. We can assume that the cluster you got is either CDM/JDM and lights up in amber instead,
