I do not plan on me installing it.. there is a "specialty shop" thats giving me a hella deal 1200 installed and fully tuned... my hp goals are 275-350hp (its possible) and intended use is everyday driver...
then you dont need to build the bottom end, a stock b16a is fine for 300 whp. so is any b series motor (maybe not the b20, thats as much luck as it is tuning, has to do with poor sleeved design of the early motors). it certainly wouldnt hurt to build the bottom end, but its not necessary. but 300+ whp on a b16, your gonna be dealin with some lag. the more your willing to spend on a turbo, the less you will have. if you want the least lag, a gt series turbo (a gt28rs would be a great turbo) but they are expensive. otherwise, a regular t3/4 hybrid will get you there. on the street, you may find that 300 whp is too much (getting street tires to hold 250+ is a stretch, especially if you dont have an lsd.) and go with a lower boost pressure. a simple cast manifold, properly braced, will work fine, and you can buy a regular set of intercooler pipes (some from any off the shelf kit like drag, fmax, etc all work fine) the intercooler of your choice, a tial 38mm wastegate, the lines and fittings from any kit again will work. http://www.beesandgoats.com/boostfaq/g2icturbo.html read that. love it. if you still have your greddy kit, you can use a 20g upgrade turbo, a big intercooler, a hondata, and your set, everything else will work.
