those three lobes are the part of your cam that open and close your valves. the two smaller ones open it a small amount, then when your oil pressure reaches a certain point the middle lobe engadges (that little rocker that was riding on it) and alows the valves to stay open longer, letting moe air in and out of each cylinder.

i dont know bout anyone elses civic , but my EX hits vtec at 3G's , no bullshit

he might just think it does cuz it does kinda pick up at 3k then again at 4500 then again at vtec. I guess its just kinda the way the power curve is on them.

im thinking of emailing SVT Ford that little clip. maybe they can learn how its really done. but the focus does have an intake somewhat alike to a GSR, but the valve timing and the other stuff we fall behind. its not a video but heres the scoop on the SVT Focus motor

It depeneds on what kind of motor it is. Or if you have any type of tuning program like hondata or chipped ecu then you can change vtec to what ever rpm you want.
