I think you're referring to the valet key hole on the floor. Apparently we're supposed to have valet keys so that only the master set can lock and unlock that. What it does is lock the trunk so that it cannot be popped open. The valet key can only open the door and turn on the car. It can't access the trunk. I don't have my valet key though so I'm only saying this on what I believe. i would like to have my valet key if this works the way I believe. I'll have to open up my manual next time I go out to my car. My sister's hanging out with one of my roommates and so I had to park a whole f**king lot away next to a f**king semi. Too much effort to walk out there just for the manual when I'll be out there once she finally leave so I can park closer to the apartment.

You got the function of the valet key correct. It can only turn on the car and open the door. Can't open the trunk, can't be used to pull the seats down, can't be used to open the glove compartment. It's actually pretty nifty. I have mine.

Yeah I still need to go back and b***h at Honda for a bit to get mine. My last car didn't have it's when I bought it either. I bet the idiot previous owners didn't understand the concept or something and lost it.

Oh, this is neat ... now one additional question and sorry for taking this OT but none of the EJ/EKs in Europe have that (or not in Germany at least) .... you have a lock on your glovebox and on your seats? Can you show pics of that? This is obviously also the reason why USDM floormats do not fit the EDM cars as far as the drivers side mat is concerned. Thanks for that little detail.
