hub assembly help (hard time removing cap)

I am replacing my rear hub assemblies. I am having a hard time removing the cap over the hub cover. #3 in this illustration

.. anyone have any ideas on removing this in a rather easy way.. how easy does the actual cover to the drum come off? I have never in my life messed with drums.. so these may be noob questions haha ..

The hub cap pries off with a screw driver. Replace if you damage it.

yeah just use a flathead and you might need to give your drums a hit or two with a hammer to loosen them to get them off

I already have a punch hammer with a plate to go onto the wheel studs, but I will still hit them a tiny bit, I am going to do this tomorrow morning.
