Hello everybody! First i just want to say thank you for viewing my post!
Now that i have that out of the way let me give you a brief explanation of how i ended up here asking for youre thoughts,ideas and introductions to the things i need to do or learn about. This is probably going to be kinda long i have alot to say, but if what i have about the people in the honda "family"is true i cant wait to meet and hear all of the suggestions and what not from my new friends! Sorry i dont have pictures of our car on here but our camera is dead and the charger is lost + im not super rich so its not much to look at compared to your car right now but we love it!
So from the time i could remember until about a year ago i was completely into anything with a V8 and i mean anything, any type of car it didnt matter. Most of it was from my whole family either having a nice classic or daydreamed about having one all day. So thats all i knew or heard about not a single one was into anything else. Living up north in the woods i had no way to find my way to the honda scene let alone hear about it. Long story short my parents and i couldnt take being surrounded by trees much more we moved a couple miles south to the nearest town (pop. 626) to try to get a little relief. My intrest in cars was still the same until after high school when one of my friends i didnt talk to for awhile called me up. After a little catching up i found out he lived pretty close considering were up north and all.. I never got my liscense so he was on his way to come get me. I was waiting outside when i hear this AMAZING sounding car coming down the one road through town (it has a pretty steep hill at one end and thats where he was coming from) and i didnt even know what kind of car was coming but i loved it instantly! As soon as he turned of the main street and down my road i heard the loudest ROAR ever! Then i looked and it was a 88" CRX with a B16 swap (at the time i didnt have a clue wtf that was) i loved it!
oO the way to his house he was babying it because the town cop was behind us im guessing trying to find out what all that commotion was lol. Anyways while we were being followed i flooded his ears with a million questions all he had to say was VTEC. Not two miles up the road we were all alone not a car in sight so he drops it down and gives it everything its got. As soon as i heard the Vtec cross over i forgot about the 18 years of muscle cars and wanted to learn everything there is to know about anything honda. Well that didnt happen as i planned. It took two years to get even close to another honda, but i found the other love of my life in that time!
To make it a little shorter me and my girlfriend moved down here to a larger city in hopes to better our lives. After i relized my hunger for Vtec wasn't going to be satisfied due to bills and complications i gave up completly.
After this last winter i seen some of the civics and integras around town i kind of got reminded why i left V8s in the past and fell in love with a much smaller and wayyyy better class of cars. I searched and searched and searched for a stock civic hatchback and found nothing. All i wanted was something that wasnt touched by anything close to aftermarket. Until one day i found a 93 DX and i fell in love right away, i had to have it! My girlfriend thought i was crazy, she thought hondas were just cheap piles of junk like i used to. After a couple of youtube vids and google pics she fell in love faster than i did. So we put our car up for sale because the guy didnt want to trade. After a barrel full of tire kickers and wasted gas we took it down and lost hope of getting a honda. About a week later someone that i dont remember talking to showed up to take a look at our car! I wasn't excited i was just counting down the time until he said "nahh i dont want it" as soon as he took it around the block he was nothing but happy with it he took it on the spot. So having been talking the owner of the hatch for awhile I had it on hold until i could come up with the money (i wasnt even 100% sure i could
) i just didnt want him to sell it. d**k move maybe? i had him drop it off since i now had the money from that gentlemen taking that pos off our hands.
So here i am asking for your guidence and thoughts. I dont know where to start or where to go with what i have. the cars not in the best shape... Has a D series non-vtec super tired engine, usual honda rust, steelies,and ebay exhaust. i have dreams of putting this car in car shows and all that cool stuff. If you have anything negative to say which im sure many people will after reading my short life story but im stuck and need help, so please be nice. Thank you!!!
