Pshht Irene ain't got sh*t. My friend and I are going jogging through the park around 6 today, should be fun if it's raining then.

I live in the northeast and complain about the snow, cold, AND heat. We got to almost 100º this year (which is record temps in this area). And it's not like the west where the air is dry. It gets humid as f***. It's insta-sweat the second you step out into the heat from a cool area. Shade does nothing.

No hurricanes here. Pretty mild in Washington for the most part. It hasn't even broken mid 80's this year and I don't think it will.

Yes and Yes lol. I personally like the cold... but not too much cold... so texas winters are kinda nice, I get my cold fix but dont have to worry about freezing my ass off lol

isn't there a clause in "freedom of the press/ speech" that if it instills panic under false pretenses then it is punishable/ if so Fox, NBC, etc... your screwed...

I am not one of those "the sky is falling" types.. but I have to question your meteorologic credentials..

When it comes to hurricanes... the news isn't incredibly reliable. Meteorologists are notoriously terrible for mistaken prediction in path and strength of hurricanes. This is something I've come to learn over many years of living in Florida.

That said.. it could be pretty bad, it could not even end up touching you guys. Just gotta ride it out and be prepared.

Yea, I know it has the potential to be bad. I live on a high ground so I'm not really worried about flood or water. My 5x5 mile radius town is like a convex and I'm right in the middle.
