You shouldn't have let them sell you on what they think your car should look like..IF you actually think it will look better then go for it, but never compromise yourself for other people.

Why waste your money buying another car, you can fix yours for the same $$ prolly

So I am thinking when I get my dead civic towed back from the shop. I am going to be in charge. I am going to learn how to swap the bumpers & side skirts off along with putting the stock headlights in. Although my car wont be painted but who cares because the engine is blown, I wont be driving it anywhere until I order an engine but I am sure I can save some money if I install the bumpers. I am a newbie at this car installing process I always paid people to do it for me but I guess this would be a perfect time to learn since my civic cant turn on. LOL
perfect way to look at it. I have already seen a HUGE progress in this thread... potential comeback thread of the year right here (no Joke, either)..

This forum has helped me tremendously.. I also took "that" route once..

Car before:

of course, it wasn't lowered, had huge rims, and was automatic...

Through this forum, I've learned a s**t TON.. swapped the car to standard and swapped in a B18 with the help of a good friend, and actually have a decent flowing car IMO. Being prepped for boost this weekend, and will be boosted/tuned the first week in September pending all goes well..

Now:

Taking the wing off and getting the whole car resprayed sometime in September (hopefully).

I like the route you're taking.. willing to change and learn. Not saying the old car was wrong, but chances are you will be 100x happier with a clean flowing car, getting all the 'rice' outta there. Not only that, but down the road you'll see a Civic with a big wing and a body kit.. and you'll just  and

I dont even know what happen to the engine. all i know is there is no saving it. So I will have to keep it in storage for a bit until I save money for a new engine. I am going to buy a civic EX though just so I can be mobile. lol.
what you mean you don't know what happened to it? a "blown motor" could mean anything. what were the symptoms when it f**ked up? its possible your motor could be repaired
