the amount of frustration that goes along with the installation of this very simple turbo kit has hit an all time high and im going to sell this stupid ass car very soon if i cant get it running! ok so a few weeks after installing my drag turbo kit in my 97 lx w/ b16 my blox map bypass valve finally arrives so now i can finally run boost right? NO WRong...the car wouldnt start after installing the bypass and when i held the gas to keep it alive it was running like 11 in Hg of vacuum and very very lean....so i call blox and they say to decrease the length of vacuum line that goes from the map sensor to the map bypass (type b by the way) and that doesnt work either....i have been running pretty rich the past few weeks so i thought the plugs might be fouled so i take them out and there werent any signs of feul or buildup (these are NGK BKR7E..these ok for my setup?) so i put them back in and then take out the map bypass and return it to what i think is normal and now the car is doing almost the exact same thing...i need to keep it from stalling with gas, it sounds terrible and want to just bog out, when i drive it is real choppy....i have no idea, this setup is giving me so many headaches and for no dan reason...anybody know anywhere in the south jeresy area that knows turbo like a tuner or mechanic that could look at it for me? any advice is welcomed and i need to get it running soon or im gonna go insane!!!! oh i just switched out the plugs and the car at least starts now but need this map bypass thing to work? any advice?

thats what everyone keeps telling me to go hondata or uberdata....but i just want the kit to run how it was orignally setup, by the time i get my ecu chipped and have someone tune it, which will be practically never where i live, the summer will be over and ill be off to school w/ no car again...im only running 7 psi with an fmu setup with should be fine for now and i can upgrade later...does anyone have any ideas on why the map bypass valve wont let my car start...could it be a vacuum leak or what?

are you throwing any CEL's? I'm not familiar with the drag setup, what other things for fuel does the kit come with besides the FMU?

comes with fmu and inline fuel pump which i havent installed yet but that wouldnt make the car not start....as far as cel's i havnt had any and i find that weird...im starting to think my cel doesnt even work anymore b/c it was misfiring a lot b4 i changed the plugs and got no cel....i would like a real tune but its not available to get around here plus i would need to have the time to get the chipped ecu and uberdata which i want to get in the future...i havnt changed the fuel filter, cap, or rotor since i did the swap last summer...could one of those be it?

ok so as i said the car starts now after replacing the plugs and still wont work with the map bypass....i would just like to also ask why the car is idling so damn low like 400-500 barely and then increases to around 600 once i drive for a little while, and when its real hot you have to hold the gas to start it....what causes bad idle...feul filter, cap, and rotor havent been replaced since the swap should i do that, is it the iacv, pcv was recently replaced when i did the turbo, is it bad grounds cuz i put like 8 guage wire from home depot to replace the old ground wires but they look like copper inside are those bad, what else could cause a shaky startup and low idle plus really bad gas mileage i should add????

Why wouldn't that be fu--ing it up. If you're having to hold your foot down on the gas to get it to start, somewhere it's not getting enough fuel. Why wouldn't you install everything that came with it .....

yes, theres a reason they give u and new fuel pump, its cause the stock one doesnt pump out enough gas. U need to install it and it should run much better.

On point, the fuel pump was provided for a reason. Not enough fuel pressure will not allow your car to run right, perhaps not at all.

well the car id not seeing boost when you first start it and when its in idle and seeing as though it started fine when i first installed the kit im pretty sure the fuel pump would not be the reason the car doesnt start...im gonna install it soon hopefulyl tomorrow but i doubt that will fix the problem

You should install the Fuel Componets that were supplied to you. That should solve your problem.
