its definately on the right way, and the ES bushings are definately the way to go. I got mine from www.wiredspeedlab.com for like 13 shipped i think... totally changes the entire feel of the shifter. now its precise and firm, it used to be soft and sloppy...

i agree... i also suggest a type r shift boot. they're like 30 bucks from a bunch of different places and they accent the red on the knob very nicely...

for example (sorry to half thread jack) heres a pic of my skunk2 knob/shifter CTR boot setup. now there is a rubber washer holding the boot tight against the bottom of the knob, so theres no ugly gap.

but as you can see, the red on the knob goes very well with the red stitching on the boot.

Wow its a f**king shift boot. I really dont give a f**k if my boot has red stiching! I like my boot down, it gets in the way of my girlfriends pussy. To each his own, i like mine down.

You know, you can take off that nut that they provide you. The shift knob should screw perfectly right onto the shifter and in the right position without using the nut.

So why did they supply the nut then?
to keep it tight so it wont spin in your hands at all.
even a stock shift knob will spin in your hands from time to time, your skunk2 will not thanks to that extra nut
