I know where the rust damage is, but it's completely unrelated to the accident. If we had gone up to this insurance company before the accident and said "Hey, we're not a client of yours, but we want you to pay to fix this rust damage." They would have thought we were crazy.

We ARE doing the third party arbitration. When, I don't know... but it will be done. Does this rust thing sound legit though? And the amount they want to pay us with all things considered?

I would definitely challenge their appraisal.

I appreciate the quick help, Ron. This sounds like total crap to me and I'm furious.

Tell the girl you’re going to sue her for misinformation Tell her car insurance company you plan to file a case against them, first for advising her to give incorrect information, and second for trying to cheat you out of a claim. Tell them you will settle for your rental and repair bills to be reimbursed and nothing else. Be prepared for the case dragging on a bit, but don’t settle for anything else.

^^Thanks for the advice, but I had to delete the spam link from it.... Directly giving spam to a mod probably isn't the best idea
