Anyone know an intercooler setup that will clear oem fogs on a 99 civic. I am thinking of boostin, but I don't wanna loose my fogs.

yeah you can make it work, you just got to f**k with the brakets on the fogs a little bit

Anyone ever use an intercooler where the pipes come out the back or angle down like those on the evo?

they are restrictive... on most intercoolers like the johnnyracecar ones, you can flip the intercooler upside down so the inlet and outlet are at the top instead of bottom. that should help with clearance issues

i've heard the greddy type 31v is one of the only ones that you can use minus the uni's that are smaller courtesy of clubsi.com

I've read on HT that you can use the GReddy piping and it will clear the fog's..?

the srt4 intercoolers go straight back, not sure you can really get your piping that way, but could be one alternative

On a related note, would it work the same with '96-'98 fronts with OEM square or round foglights?

that might be more of a problem with the intercooler itself getting in the way.

my buddy just put a drag3 kit on his 96 w/ 2000 font end conversion w/ the foglights... he said all he had to do was trim the mounting brackets a little for the fog lights and the pipes fit fine

Well I need it first. And I don't know what I want to get. Damn I may not even be able to. I just had to pay $1100 for an apartment.

i have a 96 civic and i was fitting a 31x9x2.5 inch intercooler and i dont see how its possible to run into fitment issues...or where it would come close to hitting foglights...just cut the f**k outa your bumper and your good to go...doesnt even look bad honestly.

What about if you want to keep the lower grill too? (You'd HAVE to keep the inner sides along the foglights for mounting anyway.)

you dont need to remove the lower grill in the first place, just shave the sides a little

Yeah, I personally hate when people cut out the lower grills on 6Gs. Looks nasty imo.
