i understand but with the money left i can only afford the bov i wish i had enough for an intercooler but it will have to wait.

so with the more dense it equals less volume so does mean the psi is the same but there would be more air into the engine?

exactly, theres more air in less space when its cool. psi is a relative term, 10 psi on a t15 weed wacker turbo is NOT the same as 10 psi on the t66 turbo on turbozinc's mustang.

The psi goes down but the goes back up from hte intercooler so it evens out. Im not really getting a turbo for looks or sound i am getting the bov to get rid of hot air i dont need that can cause detonation and the intercooler i didnt reallyh plan on getting it for looks i want speed i dont want to blow my engine.

Why would it be stupid not to get either of those? I am getting the BOV but the intercooler will have to wait till i can afford it but i would still like to see why you think it is stupid.

thats not what a bov does... a bov vents the shockwave that travels inside your intake tube back to the turbo when you are boosting and then slam the throttle shut. it saves the turbo from feeling that shockwave. it has nothing to do with hot air thats not needed.. thats sorta what the wastegate does. man.. you should probably find out more about how a turbo works and what all the pieces do before you buy it. www.howstuffworks.com

^^ exactly, it releases the pressure that would be going straight back to the turbo, thus making the turbine stop, then spool the other way...that is if you didnt have a bov... in essence thats what it saves

Im confused i was told that it gets rid of hot air that causes detonation, and for listening i made an ass out of myself i dont really care though at leat i got my s**t straight.
