Duplicolor Flat Black...I have done it on the pillars/headliner in my wagon, but for some reason I rarely see it come out right on a Honda...

Yea...and get a ticket and then when you get inside it isn't black...sorry, but I paid the price with dark tint and will not go that route ever again...not to mention mine has been painted since last summer and looks great...it hasn't worn off and my windows aren't tinted...where did you get that info from...just wondering...

2.5% is what you get when you put 5% tint on top of 20%. and to the OP, dont paint your interior. i painted the floor mats black on my honda and it looked sick for a day or two. then it faded in all the spots where my feet were. and yes i let it dry before i put it back in the car

Is it beat up or are you just wanting to change colors? This kid i work with painted the inside of his eclipse and it looked good for a while but started to come off all the places where anything made contact with it after a month or two, i would say i am against it unless you find some really good paint, don't mind it possibly not working or coming off later.

I know that, but from his pics there is no way he has 2.5% tint...also you can't paint seats/floormats/steering wheels...stuff that will get used all the time...pillars/headliners/doorpanels turn out pretty good though at least from my experience if you do it with the right kind of paint, but you can't just buy spraypaint and do it...not to mention it needs to be layed on heavily...my pillars have 7 coats on them...

That is the paint I used and posted about in my post...I liked it...it will turn out good as long as you do multiple coats in places that won't be high traffic...ie: seats/floormats/shift boots...

Ok I did it and yes it does chip off sometimes. To avoid chipping, try getting 3 or 4 layers of paint, letting each layer dry well and then 3 or 4 layers of clear, letting each dry well too (15 minutes isn't drying well). Now, my The pieces in my interiores that I did spend some good time paiting stillh old on, the ones I did in a hurry chip off easily, but it still looks kick@$$.

P.S. I used Krylon Plastic Paint...at $7 a pop and used about 10-12 cans, plus the clear I used about 5 cans. but that cost $2 each.

spray paint does not work well with carpet cuz theres nothing to make it permenat...I dyed mine and its been perfect dark black carpet and no it doesnt leak. you should try this ....i tried spray paint too but hated the way it lookd and rub'd off plus it made car smell

there are no tint limit laws in florida you can tint the s**t outa your windsheild if you want to and as for painting your interior why dont you just get it died that way you can scratch it and it will stay the color of the die unless your going to fiberglass what your painting dont do it ive done it both ways fiberglass is TOO much work and painting stays on for a bit but flakes off unless you bondo and prep everything or sand it down smooth and use a good primer

I sprayed my door panels and some of the dash panels as well as the rear hatch panels with a gloss black high temp engine enamel then coated it with a can of clear coat high temp and it turned out pretty damn good. Lightly sanded each piece of course before spraying but it definately made my dull gray interior sexier with all black.
