well damn i just found someone with the same turbo as mine and his wastegate is set at 5.5 psi damn that sucks....time for a boost controller....

this is what the guy said " the waste gate pressure is set at 5.5 psi according to my saab service manual. saab uses an electronicly controlled valve to divert pressure away from the waste gate when max boost is availble (which is 12 psi in a stock 900). If you want to use this turbo in a different car there are mechanical boost control valves that do the same thing as the electronic valve. I think its called a gillis valve. thank you for your interest."

also is there any way i can move the wastegate...i think its going to hit my block where the ac is supposed to go....

I was told by someone on here that you can switch you internal wg for an external one. Your best bet is just to use a snail off a DSM, that's if you're going junkyard turbo like me >`

you need a boost gauge, just find out what the turbo is normal, turn the knob a little, check agine, thats usually how all manual boost controlers are., never head of them with a click

all manual boost controllers have springs inside them, all they do is screw down on top of the spring.
