you know what gets me is when you here a really loud motorcycle blast by at 2 in the morning and it wakes the whole neighbourhood and the cops don't car but as soon as they see an import with a slightly loud exhaust( no where close to that of the motorcycle) they pull the import over. its like import drivers with modified cars are sticking out like a sore thumb. and i guess it is true but it sucks that they are classifying everyone as stupid punk street racers! my 2 cents

you should take that to court...in most states if they ticket you for that they need proof that the db level is over the legal limit they just cant go by what the cop says. its kind of the same as a speeding ticket.

how can you say that 3 reckless driving tickets isn't that bad? sounds like you need to slow/calm down a bit to me. waste your gas at the track.

i'm glad cops around here don't follow that law.. either that or we don't have it b/c me and a ton of other ppl would have a crapload of tickets for exhaust. around here as long as we have a muffler, it's ok. unless you're running open headers, cops will follow you around and look suspicious, but they most likely wont do anything

I recently got pulled over and ticketed for my exhaust. It is a 5 Zigen Catback.

Look on your system for a plate that says its 50 state legal...My Tanabe system has one and also came with a paper saying that it is....Take a picture of it and show it to the judge.
