i have a zc d16 dohc and im going to be running a t3/t4 turbo at only about 5-7 psi...Is it absolutely necessary to upgrade my fuel pump/injectors/rail/lines/ect.....???
keep in mind my fuel pump now has 290,000 miles on it lol but it is working fine...the engine only has about 5,000 though

fuel pump and injectors. Then engine management to tune with

I was told that the stock fuel pump is good for about 250whp, but I would upgrade it anyway. Also, as stated above, injectors and some sort of engine management.

by engine management do you mean like an air/fuel controller? or boost controller? and it wont give me any over 250whp i dont think unless its a better turbo than i know..its a turbonetics t3/t4 but i've never seen it in action so i cant be sure how much power it will give me exactly...but to be safe i'll probably get a wallbro pump just in case, along w/ some new injectors and rail, although my injectors look brand new

when the turbo spools ur injectors wont keep up so u need something bigger and more powerful for the surge even though ur stock injectors are rated to be ok for the horsepower u are dealing with. and they are talking about remapping ur fuel in ur ems to not cutoff under boost. u will have to get ur car tuned and dynoed...

no need for an aftermarket fuel rail or fuel pressure regulator, just a set of injectors and a fuel pump will be good

alright, thanks...as far as injectors go, which #cc injector should i be leaning towards??...and yeah i know i will need it tuned and dynoed, supposedly there's a place around here that does it...how much does that usually cost?

550cc injectors should be fine for what your doing.

Dyno and tune all depends on the quality and what your tuning it with.

depends on how much the shop charges per hour..most are like $100-$160 per hour or some do a flatrate

Engine management means more than just afc. You need a real tuning program like hondata, neptune, etc. At least crome is better than a afc.

ohh lol i cant believe i forgot that, I already have crome installed on my laptop ready to use. Granted im not sure how exactly to use it yet, but i'll be watching tutorials and reading up on it in the mean time.
And there is a buckeye career center down here that lets you dyno test your car for free, so when i figure out how to use crome then i can just tune it myself

also, which is a better idea, facing the turbo sideways and hooking an air intake setup up to it, or facing it forwards and just letting the air come through the turbine that way?????

okay so i answered my own question on this one...due to where i live, conditions and what not, im going to mount it sideways with the intake setup that way rocks and s**t dont bounce up in the turbine.

as far as injectors go, i've found the ones i wanna get.

i was just told that i should get an oil restrictor on the oil feed line so i dont blow the oil seals on the turbo...

elaborate???^^^:what:

you need to put a filter on your turbo if you want your turbo AND engine to last. Especially if this car is your daily driver.

yeah its my daily...and thats what i was gonna do...now im just debating on whether i should mount it sideways and hook a short ram up to it that will sit by my battery or mount it forwards and just put a filter on.

also, my intercooler is gonna end up sitting right in front of the turbo so which way^^^^ do you think i'll get more air flow?
