Is it necessary to upgrade my fuel system for my boost setup??

well youll get more airflow with the turbo mounted so that the turbine faces the direction you are driving in. however adding a filter to it will restrict that airflow anyway. you should try to find a position for your filter so that the air that it is drawing is cool but wont get submerged if you hit a deep puddle. dont worry about airflow, the turbo will handle that.

alright, but i dont think i will have room for a filter if have it facing the direction i'm driving...unless i get lucky and find out i do have enough room in between the turbo and intercooler when i install it...but do they make just like foam filters that fit right over the turbine instead of having to put a regular intake filter on??

i got a d16y7 block with a d16y8 head and im running a dsn turbo and injectors and a aem fuel pressure regulator. but im having problem with ideal its loading up and not burning all the fuel that is being put into the motor. it will drive fine for about a month and all of a sudden it will load up and wont run i took the spark plugs out and they where black and wet. i change them to ngk and it runs fine but still wants to load up sitting at ideal and help would be good thanks bobby

what kinda fuel pressure are you running? what are the afr's at idle?
