JDM GURU ONLY! ECU problem.

hey i have a jdm b16 swap in a EG hatch, running a GSR ECU.....everything worked perfect....V-tech was popping at 4500RPM and redlining at 8200RPM...,..........so why the hell is it v-teching at 2800RPM and redlining at 5800RPM all the sudden?????????????????????????my speedometer is acting strange also.......any idea's???????

u get long distance ? could be it if ur goin on long trips i would try to keep it short and sweet

are you throwing a code? if you are youre running in limp mode, and your vtec isnt crossing over at 2800. its not crossing over at all.

hmm, itll just pop v-tech at around 2800RPM instead of a typical 4500RPM.....its a stock GSR ECU. i have no clue whats goin on.....it was fine like a week ago

i doubt it...its just stock ECU....what do u mean by "code"?

is your check engine light on. does your check engine light turn on when you first turn your key to accessories

check engine light has been on ever since i did my swap.

fix it. that the reason your redline is at 5800 now. you probably started throwing a new code thats causing your engine to run in limp mode. your vtec shouldnt be engaging at all. find out what code your check engine is throwing

if you mean i need a p30 or chipped p28......its the recommened, but i like running a stock p72....it ran perfectly fine until recently.......idk whats the deal

find out what code youre throwing. and why would you choose a p72 over a p30 when the p30 was made for your engine
