I think the real demand for JDM parts comes from the fact that Honda released a piss poor version of the Civic in the US compared to the Japanese Civic. While there's still a high demand for the JDM look on the Integra (just using it as an example) it's not as large because the Integra released in the US rates farely well against it's Japanese counterpart. Now when we get a civic over here with a 100hp engine, power nothing, and a lack of aggressive body parts what are people to do. So say you're like me and you really like the Civic hatchback. You think it has the potential to be a really sporty car. So you get a B20/VTEC in it and the thing hauls, but wait it still looks like a crappy econobox. You say to yourself "Maybe I should get some of those JDM parts that make their Civic not look like crap". I'm not saying it's ok to spend $50 to get the vent for the 6th gen with the change pocket in it. That's just silly, but what's wrong with wanting to get a clean looking, yet sporty front and rear bumper. If someone would make some clean looking body kits maybe this wouldn't be necessary, but the way I see it the best maker of nice body kits is Honda. They just dont release their good kits in the US. If I had a hatch it would be getting a nice touch of CTR, but that doesn't mean I'm going to import a new vent so I can have the JDM change pocket. That's silly. What it all comes down to is what you want your car to look like. I want sporty yet clean. That isn't 100% JDM and that isn't 100% rice. It's a little of each. If you think your car should look another way then do that to your car. Put chrome wheels on it or a banner. It's your car.

well be as JDM as you want, its still a USDM car, most likely assembled in Maryland or one of the other american plants. i like the JDM interior look, but as far as the exterior is concerned gotta go with the lowered bone stock or a lip kit, and not a crazy lip kit, just an after market front lip, stock the rest of the way. and like i said before, "do what ever floats your boat, but if i think its gay, im gonna tell you.".

jdm is the s**t... the only way to tell who is a true fan tho is the people who still have jdm parts after the fad has passed. you know a s**t load of jdm cats are gonna be jumping on the drifting bandwagon soon.

i used to look at JDM like" why?why spend som much money on s**t if it dont even look like anythings done to the car." now i appreciate it though. i dont see cars that im attracted to thats not JDM.there's something about the style thats just so clean.then again i also used to like underbody neons and chrome skull shifters......lmao.i like cars that would be considered rice too as long as theyre clean.in the new issue of one of the car magazines i buy everyweek there's a baby blue widebody hatch with silvia heads and S2000 tails and a crvtec. id kill for that car cause its clean

JDM does RULE. No matter how much of a fad it is now, I will always like JDM. It's quality. Parts always fit well ("if you get the real deal"). No offense. That's just what I like. Everyone has there own style.
