damn i dont understand that dyno sheet but if u say it put down 98 hp that way too slow for your car, what wrong with your car, do u encounter any problems?
Okay guys so here is the response from "Dyno Dave" who ran the dyno day. I dont understand one word (mainly because he seems like he was angry and wrote everything in one block of text.
Can you help me understand what he's sayin?
OK guys you are reading to much into it the dyno day figures the above figures are very accurate regarding yank dyno's they do not apply load to there dyno they just spin a drum of a know mass which gives you between 5-15% drive line losses and we use a load dyno which is a dyno that applies as much load as the operater feels the engine or car can take this is done via ramp rate (distance travelled per sec) so the lower the ramp rate the more load the dyno puts on the engine, in shootout mode all type's of cars the ramp rate is preset with FWD cars it is 100 ramp rate we can not change that but I have now found a way around this and I will tell you all once I can prove that I'm right with the way you dyno in shootout mode.If you think that your figures are LOW then I have a VL that a friend own's on our dyno before the summernats it made 492hp@17psi in 4th gear and 515hp@17psi in 3rd gear he then drove the car to Canberra put it on the dyno down there and made 516hp@17psi in 3rd gear in Shootout mode and we tuned it with the dyno in normal mode so I would not call the figures that you all got on Sunday LOW or INACCURATE that is the power you made on the day.If we sat there with all your bonnets up you would make more power as there is less heat soak in the engine but do you all drive around with your bonnets up NO.If you had all run 50psi tyre pressure you would have made more power. This is the problem with running dyno days because you have had the wool pulled over your eye's and you get told one thing and no one can change your minds you just come along have a run on the dyno get the SHITS because you where told that you had more so my dyno is a bullshit one well guys come to the race track with me and we will see who's cars run at the front of the field with LOW POWER figures.Regards Dyno Dave
Dyno dave can f**k himself his dyno sucks ass tell him this by the way its a fact no b16a2 is pulling 98 to the wheels i have seen many dynos on 99 SI's stock and with mods never once ahve i seen 98 hp so you lil f**k head throwing a fit like a baby can say all you want your still full of s**t.
go somewhere else to dyno it, and shove the new dyno at dyno dave. that is way too low whp, a stock b16a2 is between 130whp-140whp. my friend just got his dyno over the weekend for the baseline whp and he got 134whp.
What kind of dyno did you make the pull on? That's really low for a b16 and especially the 99 hp figures for the ITR's. My stock EX puts that to the wheels. Even considering the drivetrain loss (15-20% for a stick) you should still be close to 140 rwhp and there are a lot of B16 graphs out there to prove it too. It's prolly not your car. It's the damn a**hole operator. Know why? 'cause when he convinces you to pay for some bullshit "tuning" or sells you a Tornado Air, all he'll need to do is change a couple of things in the program and you'll make 20 hp across the entire powerband. Though in actuality you just gave him your two-weeks worth of work. Try and find another dyno and then bring that graph back to him and tell him to go f*ck Moxie the Camel.
