BTW, thank you for your help rescuing the dog. I belong to PETA and help at a couple of local shelters and I wish there were more people like you.
=)
All four of the dogs I have had were all rescues, should I PM you my number??? :naughty:

so guys i walk my dog this weekend and she f**king goes ape s**t everytime she sees another dog, how do you guys trained your dog to behave outside the house. it's getting to the point that i dont' want to take her out cuz of the barking crazy snarls she does when she see's another pet. i mean she's a good dog and everything house trained but once she goes outside she just goes crazy. i was thinking of buying a shock collar does that thing effective at all?

I think you should just try a bunch of different things. Once another pet shows up, wind up the leash real tight so she doesnt have any room, start walking the way, pick her up and leave. Find a way to distract her. If you can get in her face, tap the front of her nose. It doesnt hurt them, but dogs hate that s**t.

how old is she?? my other dogs were well socialzed, my uncle has 2 dogs so we would take them over and let them get to know eachother, you could start that now it maty work still, when you teach her dont forget the treats =] as a reward they love that so if you are able to keep her calm when walking her after you pass a dog and she dosent flip reward her, if she dosent (i know this sounds kinda bad) but grab the skin on the back of her neck, they way the mother would carry her and shake her, did that with my other dogs and they learned quickly from it

yeah i tried doing that but when i tug the leash she just turn around and go at it again, when i pick her up she goes crazy still and it's hard for me to hold her if she's trashing around, when i try correcting her and she's already pissed off sometimes she would nip my fingers and that right there pisses me off i have to hit her with her own leash to calm her down.

she is 4 years old and i don't think she never got socialzed when she was a pup. yeah i'll try grabbing her back skin next time thanks for all the inputs guys
