Word around some other forums was that the video was a fake i guess some kind of setup to make k20's look good.

That's whole vid is BS!

First of all, the first time that eg and Evo downs it, check the car out behind the Evo. As you can see they're going about the same speed. The Evo doesn't even pull at all (or the evo doesn't even pound it at all). And the last run, when the camera was in the Evo, as the hatch comes up to the car in front of him, it looks like the car in front of him was going faster than the hatch. I don't know how they pull these things off, but it's F***** BS!!!!!! I live in Hawaii and Evo's with 14PSI goes easily low 13's with traction on street tires. I have a friend with just the common bolt-ons on his WRX, on street tires with a 60' of 2.0 with 12psi of boost and he hits mid 13's. In my opinion, that vid was of the charts BS! That's some shame crap!

Yeh thats the quarter mile though. Evo's and WRX's have a advantage over hondas. AWD imagine if hondas had AWD i'd like to see what kind of times they run then. The K20 hatch and EVO arent running it from a dead stop. So the EVO's advantage isn't working to it's advantage. I'm sure from a dead stop the evo would have him. Also if i recall correctly its a JDM k20 which is 220hp plus they dont mention if its got headers exhaust and intake which is supposed to add more hp on a k series then any other honda motor. How much do EVO's weigh? Im sure its got atleast 700lbs more then the hatch.

I'm with you on this one. in the end of the vid the evo was barely gaining on that semi. Maybe its an oz rally with evo kit? either way that hatch sounded pretty sweet but a bs vid

Well guys there is a weight advantage in the hatch or did you forget that part.
I beat a few evos and an sti with my stock turbo MR2 boasting at 12psi.
There not that hard to beat beacuse of the weight advantage.
Plus I have seen hatches beat evos and sti with H22 in them as well.
Really the only advatages they do have over the hatches is the 4 wheel drive.
Oh and a true 300 hp at the wheel not the flywheel.

bs vid

I know Evo's weigh much MORE than a hatch. Even if the hatch had a JDM K20 in there, i know the Evo still is heavier, but at 22 PSI of boost at that speed they were SUPPOSE to be going, the Evo is already BOOSTIN' like crazy! If anything, if the race between the Evo at 22 PSI and the EG hatch with an JDM K20, the Evo should be on his ass, or the Evo would eat his ass up! Tell me this, who would be boosting at 22 PSI without any bolt-ons or goodies. That's just stupid. Unless that Evo was stock then it would be a different story.

I didnt bother downloading the video again but if its the one with the eg hatch and the yellow evo then what u must look at is that the hatch is NOT stock obviously, the ecu may be stock but not the car. Another thing is that yes, the evo's big advantage over the civic is that it has awd, which plays a big role on those 1/4 mile times but on the highway things change.
Has anyone ever seen Rion's hatch run on the highway, i believe he posted in this thread. Check out his hatch against Jezek's h22 hatch that s**t is mean boyyyy. My previus AWD Eclipse was pushing nearly 300hp, and off the line i beat all the hondas i came up against, but i raced a gsr on the highway and he kept up for like a second or two. ten slowly pulled him. Try launchin in a honda at 5000 rpms and like i said thats where the difference is other than that the video is very beliveable. Now lets say that the evo is fairly stock and that hatchie is makin about 250 with the upgrades(remember its got 220 stock) the weight of the hatch shoul;d make up for the 50hp theevo has over it. Another thing to look at is that the evo might not be pumpin out those so-called 22psi

Bs Vid!

To all of you who wants to debate if the vid is BS or NOT. Watch the clip VERY CAREFULLY! If you have, tell me this, the first run that they did take a look at the EVO. Is the STOCK car behind him racing also? Cuz it looked like the car behind the EVO was on his ass also. It's like the EVO didn't even try.

And about the PSI crap, if sometimes the amount of PSI you're boosting doesn't always come along then don't mention it. That stupid!
