this is that same classic stories of everybody going "i want a skyline" and then you're actually in one stock and the hype dies down a little. sometimes people overestimate cars simply because of numbers. some of you hit it right on the head. You gotta understand the way these motors work and not just numbers. Many of evos and such get smoked still by these supposed "inferior" street cars.
that evo needs the proper mods to run 22psi which i doubt he has. Just b/c he is running that much boost doesnt mean he is faster, hes most likely slower. His ecu is definitely pulling timing from detonation and knock. A modded evo would walk all over that k20 unless its boosted. Anyone who disagree's doesnt know s**t.
i dunno... i say b.s. i've got friends wit a sti, a rsx (base), gti 1.8t, rsx-s, 350z, h22 eg, b18 ef, b16 eg and we have our fun. But from experience from playin' and what not, and from the stuff around the video (cars in front and back, and the ground looks kinda slow to be spankin' an evo) but yea, i just don't think it's possible.

the evo runs mid-high 13s on the stock 19psi it comes with, boosting up to 22 psi isnt going to do much very much to a 3400llb car compared to a 2500llb semi-stripped eg.
my friend has a stock k20 in his ek, nothing stripped and he runs 13.4-13.7 all day. (faster than the evo) now that is a 2500llb car.
the evo wieghs 3100-3400llbs comparing that to the 2100llb hatch, semi-stripped, ofcourse the k20 hatch is going to rip it apart. but im sure if they raced from a stop it wouldn't be like that, the evo 0-60 time is incredible.
it is very bs to promote k20's in hatches they do sell k20 swap mounts...By the way a stock evo boost about 20psi @ 3300 then back to 17psi @ 6500..with a very limited stock ecu that is why they gain so much with a reflash vs a k20 gutted to hell hatch..The hatch should win..plus that is 20psi on a 16g...can you imagine 20psi on a gt35....And dont say ones turbo and ones all motor because we all know a dam evo has turbo

Even thought the evo is awd, they were going from a roll, which really didn't give the evo that much of an advantage off of the line. And since the hatch is atleast 1000 lbs lighter than the evo, and its prolly pushing out about 210 whp. So nobody really knows if the video is fake or real, except for the racers.
