In Jersey its gotta be disconnected if your on the street I believe.
actually in New Jersey you need a permit just to handle nitrous oxide.. i have one..

i have my bottle connected always and have yet to get a ticket..they tried ONCE i fought it and it was dismissed... as long as they cant PROVE that its on.. just having the kit hooked up in the car doesnt alter the way the car works at all... ALSO they tried to state that the tank itself needed some type of extra cert to transport.. this is not true due to something called "materials of trade exemption" this exemption allows you to carry small tanks of compressed gasses (things that MAY normally fall under hazmat in larger quantity)

cliff notes:
find out if you need a permit just to HAVE nitrous.. and that is a law law.. NOT a motor vehicle law
i have had no experience with having any issue in jersey with the proper permit WITH the tank hooked up..

im sure that sub box adds another 60-70
I agree, if they are decent speakers, they should be at least 15lbs a piece (assuming you have 2)
point im trying to make is why gut to save weight, only to add more than you took out? pointless...
Guys relax its one 10'' Eclipse aluminum (light as hell) with an amp. This isnt a double negative.
