I do think, however, that Xplode could ratchet back the post edits in Off Topic areas of the forum, including the Shoutbox.

That's the thing. I only made TWO edits recently. One, where I changed the title of the thread. And two, I fixed an image link for a new user. Which other ones are you talking about?

We can't edit shoutbox posts, only delete them. The box itself clears after X amount of days too.

Minus the word "friendly", Ronnie will throw a fit and provide detailed reasoning as to why that word is not fitting to describe the moderators as a whole.. As Cary said, go back a few years and deal with the mods then. You'd get a locked thread along with a picture of a crying baby, and most likely an infraction.

I've had a bunch of Shoutbox posts deleted. None of any consequence, but deleted nonetheless. Maybe another mod is doing it.

Of the few mod staffs I have been on, this is by far the most lenient.

Dual infraction for telling a kid to stfu for giving the worst advice in history, the kid getting an attitude and arguing about it, then me telling him to envelop my member...
And a signature violation... And I wasn't one of those kids that came in with a full resolution photo in my signature, it was a average size signature panel that I've used in a few different forums.

I will admit the moderation has seemed to calm down a bit, but there has to be some point that you ask yourself "why is the forum so slow?"

I'm not here to bash the mods or anything, but if it's all that people talk about when asked why they left CC, there may be some truth in it.

I only see one warning and one infraction in the image you posted. I checked your profile and still only see one infraction and one warning. You received a warning for your signature, probably because it didn't meet the specifications in the rules. A warning doesn't do anything, it just lets us know that you know the rules next time we come across an issue, and makes sure that you actually do know the rules. Like I said, you only have one infraction. If you told him to shut the f*** up.. excessively hostile behavior seems to fit.

As far as members leaving the site because of mods, the only ones I know who did that were trouble makers (e.g., biz). Are there any members who didn't get a ton of infractions who are stating it's the mods? What about the mods is the problem? I don't think I've handed out an infraction in months, and not too many others are handed out either. I'm absolutely willing to talk with the staff and figure out what we can do to improve if this is a significant issue. I doubt that it is, but if it is, I'm not above fixing a problem.

Some times people genuinely, and bluntly be told to quiet their d**k ovens for the greater good of the human race. I think the term "excessively hostile behavior" may need to be changed to "you're a meanie head".
I understand the mods want to create a welcoming atmosphere for Honda owners here, but there is a middle ground; just like for us that like to joke, there is an acceptable amount, then there is an obnoxious amount.
You guys should take a look at ClubIntegra for a couple weeks and see how it all flows. It used to be excessive bashing on noobs and s***, admittedly usually fueled by myself, but they found a good common ground. ClubIntegra is very welcoming to basically everyone, but we're still able to get our jokes in or tell someone to stfu if they need it without taking away from the site's direction and growth.

You deserved the one for the kid. So did he and he received one. This is like crying to a cop about getting a speeding ticket when you were, in fact speeding. That was like 2 years ago. Don't you think it's time to let it go? There is no way to retract them if we wanted to, so why keep bringing it up? I thought women were the only ones that keep festering on s**t like this???

As far as the signature one goes, TONS of people received violations for signature from those days. FFS it was a warning anyway and wasn't even a violation.

There has been plenty of times when you have been in the red as far as breaking the rules and NEVER received an infraction. The one with the kid, I and another moderator gave a warning in the thread and you both kept going. You break the rules you get an infraction, pretty simple, yet we let most of it slide.

One infraction was handed out yesterday and it is the first one in a VERY long time.

Until the other night 2 people knew you could delete shoutbox posts. After finding out I deleted 3-4 that had to do with "the incident". That make 6 or so removed that all had to do with the kitty trolling incident. NONE of which were Bhikku's so I have no idea what he is talking about there.

It was a handful of my comments deleted from the shoutbox, i don't even remember what the content was on them, and honestly im not overly concerned about them. i'm just concerned that this kind of deletion becomes the norm. i'd rather an infraction than just randomly deleted comments.
