dude i dotn care, your welcome to say whatever the hell y ou want to me, i take the same liberties with everyone. if you read my post, i specifically said i wont do s**t to you for arguing wiht me. i dont take anything personal. and btw, if you didnt already know, lightened stock flywheels, even ones lightened by a very good shop (pretty rare, as the balance of the shaving has to be absoultely spot on) there can be hidden cracks and such in the metal. they have a nasty habit of blowing up under very high loads, which is why no truly competent shop will do it for you.

i was not aware of that fact and thank you for informing me so skatistic i would listen to handlebarsfsr long before id listen to me, as all my knowledge in this area is taken from company websites that wont tell the 100 percent truth about the servises they provide, and make money for.

you dont have to edit yourself, its ok to have your own opinion formed from what you read. but its best to read actual experiences rather than company bull. no need to apologise anymore, its cool.

if you really want performance, you should do a full swap- engine and tranny. a d16y8 should be fairly easy to find and pretty cheap, and will bolt right in. thats 20 hp there, but more importantly, its a better platform to work off of. or just do a mini-me (vtec head on your stock block) and turbo it, by either making your own kit or getting the greddy or edelbrock kit.

ok, NO you dont need to have the s**t to run a turbo or nitrous, BUT if you dont want to break your s**t with in a few days or weeks it is HIGHLY suggested. im sorry but i see a huge pattern of everyone saying "turbo is the only way to go fast", im starting to think turboing your s**t is the new rice. everyone wants it, and no one knows how to do it right, they just bolt up a kit and think they're good, youre not, shits gonna break unless you baby that car all the time. and no a flywheel doesnt give you horse power but it lets your engine rev more freely so you get more out of the power you have. ill go into this more later...

ok im way off topic, for quick acceleration on a pretty stock engine hit up a LOW boost kit at like 6-7 lbs, but if you want to get out there and kick a little ass, build your s**t up right and then boost it with like 12lbs, oh and never raise you efficency about 65% on the boost controler unless youre running like 110 octane, friend didnt know what it did so he cranked it to 100%, tapped that gas and BOOM, s**t was toast...that was his own dumb fault

if you dont care about top end speed and you want better acceleration, another thing to think about is a shorter gear tranny or final drive (you dont want to go TOO low though because you'll be wasting time changing gears too much). Also you're not going to get much better acceleration if your tires dont bite into the road, so make sure your tires are matched to your launching ability

naw, even if you take it to a shop to get done you should atlest know what the yahoo is gonna do so you can go back and look at his work just to make sure it pass' your visual. even if you know nothing dont tell him and when you look at it hell get all jumpy if his job is shitty. ask to see some other cars first and act like you know s**t. but do some research just to know how everything works together whats going on when your running boost
