like it was said before, longer and shorter gears have been argued about time and time again.so find out for yourself and learn from your own mistakes.come to think of it, a prime example just took place a few days ago....i was driving my friends sti,and raced another friend with a 2.5 turbo, both cars are practically identical but the main difference being the trannies.the sti has longer gears, and the 2.5 has shorter gears...i pulled on the 2.5 and he couldnt catch up, not bc he is slower, bc (and even he admited) he ran out of gears....

i can only speak from personal experience unless you want me to relay all of the bullshit that can be found on the world wide web.....so, with that said, that is one of many experiences i could share.good luck picking the best for your application

if that gsr has an lsd buy that, if not, get the itr. from someone who has a quaife, trust me, having an lsd is worth its weight in gold.

i just got the ls but i want a gsr. the nice thing about a quaife is that it has a LIFETIME warranty. my friend already shattered a sotck lsd with his allmotor integra

for those who dont know, longer gears are better suited for turbo applications due to the fact that you'll have longer boost time. Not to mention that longer gear trannys are better for freeway driving and doesnt put so much stress on the motor (shorter gear trannys make the engine turn faster, making the motor work harder). Shorter gears are best for 1/4 mile and road racing especially for NA.
