Big update = lots of pcs

This past Friday I set up shop in my garage. Got some thin plastic covering from Harbor Freight and blocked off half the garage and other things I didn't want paint on. I have some pics of my setup below(cellphone pics). I wanted to practice on something before I set out and sprayed the interior so I ended up spraying the hood that came on the car which was painted black. I sanded it down, filled in some chips and dents with bondo, primered it and then sprayed it. I wasn't too concerned how it would of came out since its a spare hood. I more or less wanted to get the gun dialed in and get used to it. Came out alright, it needs a wet sand and buff and should look great. I decided that Saturday night I would just get the interior done with.

For my first time ever painting something with a HVLP gun, I'm pretty happy how everything came out. Two drips from painting the roof, and one run. Interior isn't as smooth or glossy as I'd hoped but I know now what I did wrong and will do better in the future. It was super hot and humid during the day which I'm sure didn't help. I painted at night usually but it was still pretty humid out. I should of painted a bit closer, heavier, and a bit slower. I was kinda hurrying because my compressor sucks(i found out the hard way). Anyways here's pics.

Sunday and Monday after work got the firewall mat, heater box and blower unit, pedals, and wiring back in. I still have to tweak the wiring around the fuse box, but it was pretty easy putting back in. I was scared I wouldn't remember where everything went.

ITS ALIVE!
Basemap chip kit from Xenocron came in Thursday. My buddy from work and I chipped my auto P28 Friday. Ended up being pretty damn easy!
Saturday intalled the intake manifold, fuel lines, engine harness.
This afternoon went and got some gas, oil and a filter. Filled up the tranny and motor then cranked it over a few times to build up some oil pressure. Pushed the plug wires back in and clipped the injector clips on and crossed my fingers. Cranked over about 2 times and started right up!
It was running so smooth we decided to go buy some radiator hoses and throw my kinda crappy radiator in. Got back filled it with water and let it run. Idles perfect. Runs better than my other car actually.
Ran into a little problem with the fan not kicking on but ended up i didn't have the ground screwed in.
Came across two more serious problems, I have a bad brake line underneith. Found a bunch of puddles underneith from driving up and down the driveway. Also there is a crack in the intake manifold near the coolant passage and it leaks water. Super lame..
Here's a weak pic and video. Running my open Greddy header. Wasn't loud at all at idle but rev'ing it up a bit OH MY. I still need seats and rails, need to either make an axle back with the piping that came on the car or buy an exhaust. Need to either fix or buy a new intake manifold. Fix the brake line(s)...not excited about that. Need some new rotors and pads then should be good to drive!
More to come...this is only beginning with this car!
