Perhaps McDonalds took a page out of KFCs book and started engineering their own multi-limbed chickens in regional areas. For the unaware, a few years back KFC briefly advertised they used 100% real chicken. Those advertisements lasted maybe 2 months before the government told them to pull the advertisements because they were untrue due to their genetically altered chickens. So just because they have a bone doesnt mean theyre not from mutant chickens.

A quick search didnt come up with any legitimate pictures, but the rumors have been around for years. It seems KFC is successful at preventing anyone from taking & releasing any internal photos. Im certain whatever their breeding secrets may be are awful.

I went through a stupid vegetarian phase for a girl in middle school, and PETA had a campaign against KFC called Kentucky fried cruelty. They showed a ton of videos of f**ked up chickens :O you could try googling that.

Hmmmm... It's funny. If put under the same environment a homemade hamburger won't rot either. This was proven years ago.

No real meat? So you are trying to tell us that a multi-billion dollar a year company like mcdonalds is lying about not being real beef? Even with USDA regulations? Get out of here. I would bet a guess that it would be ill-advised as it would destroy their rep if it was "really" proven wrong.

I am in no way defending them on a love basis. I hate fast food. To me it is a waste of money and is usually disgusting. I have barely ever been satisfied with a fast food meal when done. Especially from McDonalds. There is something wrong to me with something like that when you can get it in mere seconds. I am just saying that I have read and seen most of the stuff about them and have yet to see it really proven by a truly reputable source. Rumors aren't a credible source.

I am more worried about the notoriously bad handling practices that are present in chain fast food establishments. I prefer local non-fast food chain burger joints. We have a couple here that are amazing. Every time I have eaten at one of these I have been satisfied. Good food, great owners, staff that isn't 99% highschool kids that don't even want to be there and are paid enough to actually care about the customers and the cleanliness of the place.

There are some that are managed really well but the high majority of them are poorly maintained because they are run by people that don't get paid enough to care or have franchise mini owners that pinch pennies to save money.

As far as TB food the meat is something like 88 percent were the regulations only require half that amount. From what I remember seeing on the news people get sick off the lettuce more than the meats.

Also as far as the buns go, why would they store and ship them in freezers if they don't expire?

About the buns...

My dad was a bread delivery man when i was growing up.

I can vouch that he delivered fresh bread to all these establishments atleast once a week. They have to go off of the bread tags for quality control and freshness. The tags are different colors for what day they are made and only fresh for a week. If not used they have to be returned and taken to a week old bread store to be sold at discount unless moldy.

These establishments are not making their own bread...

No, McDonalds is not lying about their food. But they do not advertise as using real meat absolutely anywhere. They dont even use real cheese. If you pay close attention to their advertising, they use such catch phrases as "real flavor" in place of real ingredients. Even using slang allows them to state something they know the average person will misconstrue as what they think they mean. Selective wording is how these companies get away with alot. So yes, they have built a multi-billion dollar franchise by successfully lying and misleading their patrons.

By the way, USDA regulations are nowhere near as ironclad as they appear. For example, Taco Bell is required by the USDA to have at least 40% real meat in order to be allowed to legally call it meat. The other 60% can be a plethora of bi-product & filler. They were sued a few years ago for falling short a few percent. This is fact. Oh, and I single out Taco Bell on this fact because they actually advertise using real meat, unlike McDs.

Furthermore, please understand that the FDA & USDA are all loosely regulated jokes. Here will be an eye opening FACT for many. The FDA bases all their adult health content information on research studies from the late 1950s and chose a 12 year old as the ideal model for adult requirements. Yes, all recommended ADULT health requirements are based on a 12 year old boy in 1956. They have chosen not to update this information since then. THIS IS A FACT. Another fact is that all vitamin requirements and suggested intake amounts are actually the bare minimums that adults really require.

Here's another example of how pathetically loose they regulate. ALL vitamins produced by GNC are made below the minimum FDA requirement. How and why does GNC get away with it? The FDA's imposed fine is considerably less than the cost GNC would incur to make all their vitamins reach they legal minimum requirement. There is no law penalizing any company from being repeat offenders of this tactic. So GNC rather pay the fines every year and save money on the vitamins they skimp on because their profit margins allow them to do so. Again, THIS IS ALL FACT.

I would bet a guess that it would be ill-advised as it would destroy their rep if it was "really" proven wrong.
They have been proven already but the multi-billion dollar franchise can afford to pay their way to keep the big whistle blowers quiet. If you seriously think these major companies are ran legitimately & ethically, then you're living in denial. The days of real food at a drive-thru died in the 1960's. You pay the right people in the government and they stay quiet. That's todays corporate America. My example of the FDA & GNC is proof of it.

I hope all this info helps some of you take precaution and make better informed decisions with your health.
