I've been sitting on my ass all day thinking about civics :roll: and i was just wondering, theres three different body styles, the coupe, the hatchback, and the 4 door. I wanna hear anything and everything from anyone on what they like the most, kinda like a poll with the option to voice your opinion... enjoy complimenting and boasting about your body style. Providing entertainment for the bored...

I love coupes... they look bomb... hatches look pimp too... but i feel like its only half a honda... so i prefer the coupe... and the sedans can be pimp as long as you dont do too much to em

the 99-00 coupes are the best civics ever made so far....they emphasized that by putting a b16a in some of them....I know Sis were originally hatches, but the 99-00 coupes are the best, and having the option from the factory of a b16 is awesome

Hmm..interesting. I like the Coupe's but they're too small but yes they definitely look better than other models..Hatchie's are so fun to drive..and the sedans since i have one very economical..haha..

HATCH = less weight
Power 2 weight
Seems easy enough for me!!

ok, after all i have a 98 coupe... i love the car... but hey let me state my opinion. I have major beef with honda on the issue of sedans. When honda makes a sedan (example-the 96-00), for some reason, they always give it (the heavier car) the weaker motor... Do people with sedans like weak motors?? i dont know. They also give the sedan a less-cool look. Look at the ass end of the new accord... the coupe looks bitchin, and the sedan looks like a grandma car!!! Why? Im betting honda would sell alot more sedans if they changed their thought process. Look at cars like the lancer and the wrx... they can have four doors, look great, and be FAST AS s**t. There is just something comfortable, and practical about a sedan. My friend has a corolla, and all though it isnt a performer.. there is something comfortable about being able to just go open up the door and sit down... its just so simple and nice... and its a feeling i didnt experience until i owned a coupe... As it relates to civics, id take my two-door any day over there sedan, but i thought id use this thread as a chance to b***h and complain... thank you

I've had the pleasure of driving two of these magnificant machines...I've had a 4th gen hatch and now a 6th gen coupe. My hatch was more nimble in the curves ( like driving a go-kart) but the coupe gets style points from me.

i totally agree i dont get the issue with weak sedans but i hope it turns around, honda probably assumes anyone thats going to buy a sedan is going to be a family of four that have no reason for speed or something stupid like that but i dont know, i would definately enjoy more sedans being like the wrx and the evo!

I now own my second 6th gen coupe, so it's obvious that I like the coupes (both Milano Red EXs with manual tranny). I love the shape of the hatches though! I wanted to buy one, but they're impossible to find for sale in my area, plus stock they're not very strong. Though that black 6th gen that blew away my friend's '03 Si was great. Said he had an engine swap, but Josh let him leave before he found out. Could only confirm my suspicion that it was, "B18-something." He agreed when I said "C1", but he doesn't know Hondas or cars for that matter very well yet. Oh, that car sounded so hot though. Fart pipe I hated, but the sound of the engine revving when I asked him to do it was *drool*.........

As for the sedans though, Honda did nothing with them in the US, so I'm not that fond of them. Show me something from Japan, I like alot of them. :D

4 doors =4 people
once again it's that power to weight ratio. there is no point in putting a strong motor in a heavy ass car. 4 doors are made for people who like to drive witha lot of friends in the car, in which case it wouldn't be safe to race. The Subaru and Evo are all wheel drive turbo'd rally cars wher the longer wheel base is probly an advantage, on the steets the longer wheel base is probly not an advantage.

The hatch is the lightest, there for if you do all the same mods it's going to be faster. I didn't used to like the style of the Hatch's but thats because I usually only see the stock DX or CX models, but take a look at a Type R or even an SIR II and I think we have a winner. I mean come on put an (Stock) SI next to a (stock) EK9 and judge soley on looks and which looks better?

well, i had a 4th gen hatch and it was cool, but it was too small. i had 2 5th gen sedans and i love them. they are not fast and the extra weight doesnt help, but in my opinion it's the best looking sedan yet. i totalled one of them, so now i bought another one. anyways, i also like the 5th gen hatch, but it's so played out already. if i could, i'd by a 2000 Si. i just love that car too.
