Get a B18C1. Not a H22. Reason being H22's will make your car front heavy and ultamatly end up destroying your suspension and center of gravity, thus not giving you the full potentall of the engine.

why not get a JDM b18c type r? they put out 195 hp, 134 ft/lb torque... a bit less that the h22 in torque but a much simpler install..?

Not Everything is the Same

I just ordered my JDM H22 from Hmotors w/ lsd Hasport mounts and axles I also need to buy a water pump and do a 5spd conversion. My question is what parts are different on an JDM vs. USDM H22 does it matter when i by parts like water pump, timing belt gaskets or any other little things i need. Also for installing the clutch do I use a slave cylinder and pedal from a civic and a master cylinder from prelude. I am trying to get the the misc parts i need before my engine comes in (1 month back order)

I have a JDM D15z in my Hatch. As far as the water, timing ect.. You will have no problems bolting up a USDM part to it. One thing that is not common atleast on mine is the emissions controls. My head has a port in the back that someone rigged up to keep it from leaking, I thnk maybe an EGR valve of some sort. Anyways, look for the obvious. I am still looking for a place to show me what JDM specs really are. Hope that helped.
If you are putting in a prelude clutch I would recommend putting in a Prelude master. the Civic may not have the holding power due to it's limited size.

B16 are weak. Get a B18 or dont swap at all.

any b18 has more off the line power then a b16. but the b16 will catch up down the line to be a close race.

how do i make a low to mid 5 second civic (0-60)? what engine? possible with good bolt ons? turbo is ok. if i need to go that route. anything for 5 second civic... assuming it stays under 4k

this is in the heaviest yet still not to bad eg hatch model : 1995 civic si.

does the chassis need strengthening plus new clutch and integra gearbox?

in a h22 swap, lets say in a 96 hatch, if i get the hasport mounts to swap a h22 in the civic than it just bolt right in?

i can't wait to put in my h22 i love bragging and talking about the h22 because it pisses everybody off because its a hard swap but a fu-king fast ass one.... anybody that doesn't have an h22 in there car should kill themself......... haha

all these are about b18,b16 and h22. where are the b20 peeps. im puttin one in a 93 hatch. i have heard ill have to change mounts and i have heard i wont. from peeps that have done the b-serries did you have to get a mount kit?

H22's actually have thinner sleeves than B series, and weigh more.
