I used to be on club civic but I forgot my account info, so I made a new one. My name is Josh, I'm 20 and currently work 2 jobs and am a full time college student. This is my second car but my first Honda and I love it. It's taken me 2 years to get my car to where it is now, but its my pride and joy and cars have always been my passion. I'm waiting to graduate so I have the money to finish my build for the track, but I figured I'd make a thread for my hatch contribute my .02 cents to the forum anyways. Here are some pics of my car and mod list.

For the swap I'm waiting until I leave California in about a year cause I don't want to deal with any of the legal bulls*** out here, and I love getting about 42 mpg. For the moment, I spend extra cash on the car but school is my first priority, and a b18c5 swap is expensive.

Not really.
The morimoto mini h1 retrofit is completely plug and play w/ an adapter plate. The retrofit kit is PURELY bolt in, so there was no cutting/molesting the headlights. If i want the stock light set up all I have to do is open up, unbolt the plug and play, and stick a stock bulb in. Drive a car with a legit retrofit and you'll see why I did it. Light output is godly bright and I don't blind anyone with a rice ebay hid kit.

i understand the function of a retrofit. I just dont like them. All the years i've driven a car, I haven't felt as though I need more light to be able to see. The world is just as dark as it used to be for me. :thumbs up

car is clean though

That's a pretty massive transformation. Definitely inspiring! I'm not one for the retrofit, and I have to admit, I agree with CHILD. Even though it's a plug and play, I shed a bit of a tear that you opened up legit CTR headlights. Overall, clean, quality build!

A lot of people feel the same about the headlights and I expect some flaming haha and I partly agree, but it was something I've wanted and Ive been trying to rid car of all replica parts. I wanted only oem ctr lights, Again to each his own but thank you for the complement :thumbs up

How do you like those rates for you ground controls?
Personally, I'm very happy with them. If your slamming your car id say at least 500lbs rates, but I want pure function > form. I'm dropped about 1.5" in front and about 1.25" in back. Koni yellows turned to %75 front/ %50 rear. For a daily, the ride very comfortable even in my buddy club seats. With the rear sway bar + x bar, it is very predictable. Still more understeer than oversteer, but thats what I prefer. My personal set up is decently close to neutral front/rear , maybe 60% front 40% rear-ish? and it handles like a dream on canyon roads with better tires than my current kuhmos. Before I had the yokohama s drives, drove amazingly.

yeah, Im not all about "slamming" my car just a reasonable drop. Just trying to figure out what rates to go with yet. Might go with 400f/300r but I don't have sway bars or anything just yet.

400/300 is fine for a daily. And again, person preference for understeer, oversteer, or neutral. As far as the sway bar, start with small and adjust accordingly. I tried an asr 24mm but too much oversteer for a daily w/o a front sway bar. Keep an eye on craigslist, i picked up a used si sway bar and practically new oem end links for $50

Yup. Planned on getting tophats for the front. It will no longer be my daily soon though

I was thinking of starting with the 22m sway bar and of course new subframe

When you figure out spring rates, everything else kinda falls into place and can be changed easily. I personally like the smaller sway bar but thats me
