man, that Fireball is loud too, but at least I have a silencer for it too

yep, put the silencer in and its quite a bit quieter, no longer boomy and it still sounds good.

Here's some pics of my short shifter install.

Taking apart the center console

Had to take the front end off to clear the ramps

I had a pic of the underside of the car, but it didn't turn out very good. If anyone needs walked through how to put a short shifter in I can post the pic after I clean up the image a bit if it will help anyone out. I think I might make up a DIY for it sometime soon.

Finished pics, new shift boot and different knob, same style, back to the nasty old floormats since I've been doing landscaping work for my summer job.
