this is my first thread on this board. i figured what better way to start than by posting pics of my ride so you know what i am all about to some extent.









in these pics you can actually see that my paint is new and waxed, the silver car belongs to my friend jerome.











heres a close up of the paint when i first got it back before painting and re-installing moldings.
you can see the color pretty well, it sorta looks like granite rock with the metallic in it.

seems like h22 hatches are becomming a dime a dozen.

i like your bumpers, nice car, i think you should steal your friends rims and put them on your car though

those wheels were on my car when it was its original purple... they complimented the car quite well, but they wouldnt look so hot with this color. i prefer my hard to find 16x7 SSR gpo's, the black spokes compliment all the black moldings and trim, and the huge lip is visible from like a quarter mile down the road =)

thanks for all the compliments, i like the layout of this site and you guys seem like cool guys!

as for the h22 civics being a dime a dozen, i would say they are still quite rare. thats relatively speaking of course, compared to something as popular as the civic si coupe for example ;)

So...do we get a mod list or something? Just curious what you got goin...I like the drop too....Teggy springs or what?

well there arent too many bells and whistles, i had to get it clean and running well before adding too much.
the story on this car is awsome though, everything was acquired by luck from hookups through friends.

the car is on 2" drop progress springs made for, you guessed it! an integra.
my friend rolled his integra on highway 280 so i got the springs...

i got the ssr gpo's cheap through a friend, originally silver spokes but scratched up so i painted black to match the moldings.

the nice dunlop tires were scored at only $80 for the set from a friend.

i acquired the jdm ek4 siR bumpers & lip for cheap through a friend from r-crew here in the bay area, great guys.

then i did all the body work myself, the car was covered in dings everywhere from hail storms in nevada with previous owner, as well as a softball sized dent in the hood.

i shaved the rear wiper, emblems, hood winshield sprayers, and windshield wipers.

i removed all interior, cleaned out all the dirt from the previous owners 8 years of driving, and did some sound proofing all over the place behind the panels, then reinstalled all interior.

i wired up a sub w/ amp and some aftermarket mid range speakers to my factory deck/cd player for great sound but a stock look.

the h22a is basicaly stock with just the header you see polished to a nice gold by hand, and an intake i threw together with some left over piping laying in the garage and a filter my friend had laying around.
i used the hcp mount kit, and also the optional solid drivers side hcp mount.
now that the hard work is done, the easy fun stuff begins.

im going to have a 2.5" mandrel bent catback put in at golden auto muffler in daily city, and have them cut me a bigger 3" pipe for my intake.
im going to paint my own headlight housings dark.
im going to do all kinds of porting myself.
i intend to get a rear cf spoon style spoiler, as well as spoon style mirrors to finish up the exterior.
i plan on getting some full coilovers.
i need to add some integra seats, the stock civic pos's KILL my back.
i need to throw in some rather agressive cams and have the head built up just a bit...

then she well be pretty close to completion.

i may have left something out, if so ill edit the post later.

haha I have the Progress Springs (made for the H swap tho) and I used the 5 (including front crossmember) HCP mounts (which I really like).....And you got good plans for the futur

hey quick quesiton though... i am also wanting that front mount in the future, but i was just looking down there at where it bolts up today and was wondering if you have any clearance problems with that bar and your other accessories. what is your radiator/fan setup? do you have ac or no?

It clears fine. Jdmshit.com has it for like $99 shipped.....

I'm using an Integra radiator. It's basically double the size of the Civics' which is a good thing. And I have it hooked up so that one fan is blowin cool air in and one fan is blowing hot air out. I have no A/C; removed it. And never had p/s.

dang, so you can fit a dual core radiator and two fans between your radiator support and the transmission? that just seems crazy to me. i mean i know i have the huge stock fan but even that i had to modify around the slave cyl at the bottom, and its probably about as thick as two thin fans that you probably have set up. HOW HOW HOW. i need to see pics i guess...

did you just move the radiator and fan and everything over to the drivers side in front of the header where the ac s**t usually goes rather than in front of the tranny where it sits originally?

By "double the size" I meant in length btw. It's almost half the WIDTH of the civic rad too tho. And one of the fans is from the civic (pass. side) while the other fan is the LS (which is smaller). I have plenty of room in front of the motor tho :what: I could throw a turbo on no problem. by the sounds of your setup, there is no room. Do you have a top view of your engine bay?

Oh and the radiator is seriously the length of the crossmember...it's big man. Double the Civics.....

ill post up an overview shot of my bay tommarow after i finish my wire tuck job. its not any worse than yours as far as space is concerned im sure. i thought you were talkign about like a del sol dual core which is a little wider but just as small in length. now i know what radiator you are taliking about.
