When I got my stock radio replaced my keyless didnt get messed up at all. It works just fine and I got it from the Honda dealership.

Then your old unit is likely to be INSIDE of your dash.. you just cant see it.

I believe the reason that O3hondacivic's keyless was not lost is because he has a '03 Civic. '96-'98 Civic keyless systems ride on the radio unit. In '99-'00 the keyless and radio units are also separate.

99cleanCIVICex : I did that once before, settled for a color I didnt really want.. so I just waited this time.. and everything eventually came together and I ended up with exactly what I wanted.

Unf Unf!!! My Apexi N1 and AEM V2 came today, along with my SI (red/white) tails. I wanted the SI spoiler too, but that bad boy is 400 new. Havent been able to find a used one yet. I'm taking off work tomorrow to get it all installed. I'll post pics tomorrow as well.

so THATS why my old stereo unit is sitting behind the cigarette lighter panel... i saw it when i was playing with my climate control lights, knew what it was, but didnt know why it was in there, i just didnt think it was worth the work to take it out, and now im glad i didnt...

If you have a '96-'98 Civic and the radio unit is hidden behind the dash it's likely that was done so to retain the keyless.
