MORE WEIGHT REDUCTION

Last time N/A B16A motor was dyno'd, it put down 157 whp and 112 ft/lbs (Motor, intake, and exhaust. At that time the car had the A/C and the Power Steering in it, which have now been removed)
Best track time was a 14.8 @93 with wheel hop and spin. That was just the motor with weight loss. No interior in the back and no passenger seat.

why did u go with such agressive cams on the turbo build?

i know a few tuners that will not even touch a car with stage 2 or higer.

i like Skunk2 Tuner 1s!! :worthy:

turbo set up looked really good , should have kept it .:(

also, what kinda HP #s you got out of it and any ETs?

Updated pics of the current motor in the first post!

I never had cams with my turbo setup... Those are the cams in my N/A Setup!

I would have kept the turbo setup, but a local shop PREACHED to me that the turbo was MINT and that the head or the block was bad, so I traded it all off for the Type R, then to find out the the head and the block was good after all and that it was the turbo... So pretty much I gave up on the turbo REBUILD after I had spent $3,000 to get it going AGAIN and I didn't have a car to drive for a year and a half.

It was originally a boost'd B16A... then after tuning the piston in cylinder 3 ate the cylinder wall...

I went out and got a "MINT" GSR block... got the motor put together and started it up... ran fine, but smoked... tore it down again to find out one of the cylinder walls was scratched... so rebuilt the bottom end with new factory parts, also bought a built head, cool! Then the kid told me, after I had the built head installed on the rebuilt GSR and after start up, that he never installed new valve seals... tore it down again.

the put on my STOCK B16A head with the GSR bottom... turns out the car was doing nicely on the dyno with 14psi... 253whp / 2xx ft/lbs at 5,300 rpms... I don't remember the exact numbers anymore, but it would have been a nice build... I might do it again down the road, but i needed something reliable and at the time to get my car back on the road and then I bought and built the Khaki hatch too...
