Unfortunately I think hyundai and kia are making a comeback...not that they had anything to come back TO.

Now that Hyundai and Kia are basically the same company you'll find that they share lots of the same parts/motors in the cars..such as the Optima and the Sonata..the big thing about Kia is that they pick the company that'll build the cars for the cheapest (bidding) and then have that company supply the work for them making the cars.

No new concepts there...just good old fashioned "make the most money the cheapest way".

NPR piston rings!!! great rings!
Usually find them really cheap on ebay and other websites not affiliated with Honda parts!

i'd guess that you got unlucky and that your engine swap needed to be checked over ahead of time.

do you know what caused it to fail or just that it is broken? if you can find the reason you might save yourself some money down the road if there are multiple problems causing it. it could be cheaper just to get a new engine if you were really unlucky.
