Save!

Would he rather have you spend it on clothes and make up?
Maybe. Clothes and make up don't break down

Live your life the way you're going to live it. One piece of advice: do NOT pool your income. Keep your income separate, split things right down the middle. Everyone will be happier, everyone will have more money, and respect what he does with his money. No one should tell you "you need to live more responsibly". For what!? Getting old and regretting what you didn't do? I've done stupid s***, lived irresponsibly through my teens/twenties, and I'm beyond glad I did it.
HELL NO. We will not put our money together. We both agree that's dumb.

And I know... but I also want a bike. And he supports that.... sort of. He wants me to have one, he knows I love it, he knows it gives me the same feeling as when I used to ride horses, he wants us to ride together.... but he gets really worried about me. Someone hitting me an whatnot.

I think he's worried about me being financially irresponsible and screwing it up. I see both sides.

Good! Too many of my friends do that, and their significant others spend their money like mad. Stupid...

If he respects you, he will understand that you've been financially responsible enough to live your life just fine this far. Take your partner's opinion in stride, but ultimately, do what feels right to you, and no one else (I'm talking financial decisions that involve your playtime.. may want to reconsider that statement with other things haha).

I think his point was blow all the money on the car and then not be able to help make ends meet. not that she can't spend any money on the car

Yeah.... I probably don't make as much as you do.
Then you just take longer to save and spend on your hobbies. Making ends meet before blowing money is common sense...well, unless you're about the ghetto llife lol

That's when you do an oem swap and call it a day. :P

Bingo.

She DID buy a daily, though, which was smart. (I need to get on that.. or get a rolling chassis that's stupid clean or something).

I know. I'm becoming more and more patient. Except I REALLY miss driving the coupe. Auto LSs suck, they're so slow.

And I LOVE my daily. He's ugly, but it's so nice to have a car that's reliable and I don't have to worry about. Especially driving in the busy city.

Haha 500 dollars car 2000 dollar rims still living with grandma and collecting food stamps.
Just going oem is boring after a while though for some if not most. If I just wanted to do an own swap I woukd of gone the v6 route.

This was my reasoning for going with the best k24 for myself. I wanted it to fit under the hood without sacrificing power. There's so much more to a car than the engine, so when things get boring, you improve the car as a whole. I could see Alex doing that with her couple, building a solid reinforced turbo gsr and then tweaking odds and ends slowly as money permits.
