HELL NO. We will not put our money together. We both agree that's dumb.Live your life the way you're going to live it. One piece of advice: do NOT pool your income. Keep your income separate, split things right down the middle. Everyone will be happier, everyone will have more money, and respect what he does with his money. No one should tell you "you need to live more responsibly". For what!? Getting old and regretting what you didn't do? I've done stupid s***, lived irresponsibly through my teens/twenties, and I'm beyond glad I did it.
And I know... but I also want a bike. And he supports that.... sort of. He wants me to have one, he knows I love it, he knows it gives me the same feeling as when I used to ride horses, he wants us to ride together.... but he gets really worried about me. Someone hitting me an whatnot.
I think he's worried about me being financially irresponsible and screwing it up. I see both sides.
