aren't you just as unable to move when an oem seatbelt locks in place from the jolt of a crash/rollover? If they just kept unraveling I don't think they'd be of any use.....ever. A oem seatbelt will only release the lock if the seatbelt is in the exact oem orientation.

the oem belt goes across your chest. you can still move to the side the belt only stops u from moving forward. with a 4/5/6 point you cannot move sideways because there are belts on both sides of your neck.

bucket seats stop your side movements. if the harness did all the work, there would be no need for deep bucket seats since "you cannot move sideways because there are belts on both sides of your neck"

and the belts go over your shoulders....they even sell "shoulder" pads for them. If they're on your neck, you're doing it wrong

A harness stops all vertical motion, oem stops half vertical motion(the shoulder the belt isn't on is allowed to move vertically), side bolsters(bucket seats) LIMIT horizontal motion. All of these belts/harness have close to the same horizontal limits. Vertical is what is being stopped.
