im an ej8, the us hatches as far as i know are ej6's, the 99-00 si is an em1

right, but in general in the US all 6th gens are collectively known as 'EK', but each chasis will have it's own 3 digit code denoting it's specific year and engine.


for example, my car (a 92-95) is an EG, a 5th gen Civic. But more specifically it's an EH9, a 1995 4 door EX with a D16Z6
