actually most of you are totally wrong-- only USDM 92-95 SI hatches and JDM 92-95 hatches are EG's--all the other 92-95 USDM hatch models are EH. second, all USDM coupes except the 99-00 si are EJ's not EK's. EK's are only in europe and japan

therefor rayray please stop confusing people with your dysfunctional naming system

right, but in general in the US all 6th gens are collectively known as 'EK', but each chasis will have it's own 3 digit code denoting it's specific year and engine.
thats what is become because no one knows what the f**k they are talkin about

EK is the code for Civic Type R

so are there ANY TYPE R in america?? (civic anyways) no . . . a type R integra is a DC2 just like the LS teg is a DC2. . . it works for that but not for civics. . .

to me its just f**kin irratating to see "my ek 4dr" when its no where near an EK. ..

there is EK4 96-98 and an EK9 is a 99-00

nice sedan... now to end the ek discussion

EK = japanese civic hatchbacks and sedans
EJ = 96-00 civics, excluding the si
EM1 = 99-00 civic si

the japanese ferios were available in these codes

EK2... EL
EK3... Vi-RS, Vi, Mi, ML
EK4... Si, Si II
EK5... Rti

lastly, its pretty dumb to argue about the chassis codes becasue the bottom line is there are basically no differences between the lower ek model chassis' and the ej's we get over here. other than the rhd.

Thank you for posting it right.. I have a JDM civic sedan (Code is EK 1) I have seen comments like:

all over the place. How can people who "know" civics screw this up?

I dont see any pictures at all.

BTW you if your car is USDM you DONT HAVE A EK. Its a EJ. EK's only exist in JDM, EDM & various asian countries.
