Exactly. I don't think I said that it's an EK.

Though EK is a common term used to say "6th generation Civic". I just usually say 6G instead though. That way everyone knows and no one fights.

Don't post the entire VIN. With your VIn I could get a key cut for your car. Just tell us what the third through sixth digits are and that will say what your chassis code is.

As I said before, EKs are hatches *and* sedans*, just not ones initially sold in the US.

Anyway.. I think he's probably figured out his chassis code by now. Let's stop thread jacking his thread.

Agreed. 96-98 front ends look kinda good IMO.. I just wish there was a better place for the fogs...

and to the OP: Your car looks great.. I do agree though, you need to go back to the original tails, those arent really doing it. But hey, it looks pretty good otherwise..

What about some interior pics? (no one ever likes to shoot their interior for some reason......)

We already went over that JDM hatches aren't the only cars that are EKs... Good job on absorbing all that info though.

Go look for an EK5 hatch... (Hint: They're about as elusive as EJ8 hatch...)

but honda does have an exact fit and is what i have...
in canada we have the acura el where the outter tails are direct fitment into the 96-98 sedan...
and are clear / red... and of course oem honda not cheap ebay...

search for acura el tail lights and you will be pleased...

The outers on the '99-'00s are the same as the outers on the '96-'98s too though, right? So you could either get EL outers or get outers from an overseas car. Still granted that you'd need to find either of them, which even EL parts are a bit diffifult to come by when you live in the states.
