Jase - cover the whole door, as much as you can at least. you can also get dynamat. exact thing as edead. and that fiberglass work is awesome.

Rust? nope. (Just don't cover the drain holes inside the doors when applying) eDead works allright as a deadener i find, but it's not fantastic. eDead sticks better in the heat compared to dynamat xtreme, but I find dynamat is a much better deadener though.

More pics as requested:

She's back from paint and shaved smooth. 2007 mercedes calcite white... (Side mouldings, badges, and front bumper license plate holes cleanly shaved off!)

This is one of the 2 spots that I'm mounting the amps, the cavity between the rear plastic interior panel and the body. (Basicly inside the rear quarter panel) Both amps will be totally stealth in these locations, it is also very easy to make adjustments as well. (Pop off the speaker cover, and all adjusting controls are easily within reach) Because of the location, it will also be difficult for thieves to steal anything in the unlikely event that they even find anything lol.

You can't really see what is actually tucked away in here, but there is a xstatic batcap 800, an electronic fuse block with remote monitoring, grounding block and the amp of course.

In this pic you can see the frame for the sub enclosure and some of the FG work underway. This will be under a false floor (Totally stealth, and still useable of course) The two 8" woofers have they're own seperate enclosures with aprox .25 cubic feet of airspace (Top half of the box) and the single 12" will also have it's own enclosure with a little more airspace than last time so it can hit the lows better. (aprox. 1.1 cubic feet this time)

This stuff is awesome. I wish I knew how to fiber glass stuff. You are amazing. Quick Question that may have been covered. Why did you fiberglass your center console part? Too strengthen it? If so, for what purpose?

Any how, AWESOME WORK!

Finally got around to finish up the fiberglass work on the sub enclosure. (I had a few leaks) It's currently drying now, and just before the sun went down too! After a quick sanding tomorrow, i'll spray the whole thing with rubberized coating in a can to get some of the ring out. (Thanks for the tip donald) I will update over the next few days as i finish it off.

good fiberglass work. but i hate it when people paint the grills on 92-95 civics. i like em black gives the bumper more style. what kinda rear seats do you have? whats next on the mechanical side? drop in the future? pretty clean if you ask me.

Rear seats from an RSX-S (Black Leather). Mechanical side... I'm thinking a Vitaras swap, I'm addicted to boost. Things on the list first are a Type-r CF front lip, EK sideskirts, Type-r rear lip, and CF trunk. And of course a healthy drop.

Traded my HD-62's to a MR member today, and got myself a set of focal polyglass 165v1's and a set of CDT audio coax's, yum. (Haven't decided what to do with them yet... maybe a system in the GF car...)

Anyhow, got all the leaks plugged up today. I emptied a whole can of black rubberized soundproofing, inside and out. I then put a layer of silicone on everything on the inside just to make sure I got a good seal. I also dumped a bunch of polyfill into the tub while the silicone was wet, so that it would stick. Drilled holes to pass the wires, and sealed them up. I then stuck some grey carpeting I had leftover from the STI install, onto the baffle. Stores were closed by the time I had got all this done, and will have to continue the false floor another day. Another sheet of MDF and some black carpeting for contrast, and she'll be done. Will keep you guys posted.

(I got to hear a little today, but it's too late to crank it up and tune it lol)

So project stealth is nearly at an end, I just have the passenger side door pod to finish up by the meet saturday. (Not likely to happen though, I work like a mother fcuker this week, lol)

I finished up the trunk install yesterday, complete with false floor. It's been tuned and sounds damn good to me. Absolutely no rattles, the FG tub is a perfect fit and is light!!! The subs dig a little deeper than last time since the enclosures are slightly larger. Much better outcome than the last FG experience I think. The only weak link in the system right now is the HU since it's a cheapo pioneer, when the funds are together for the P880PRS stand back lol! I've run these subs through a series of tests and they are TIGHT! Bass is very controlled, but lacks a little in the output (Common with CDT audio from what I hear) Don't get me wrong though, I played a few bass testers and this setup can move air!

I guess the only thing that I'm not 100% happy about is the insert that covers the subs. I ran out of staples in the middle of the night while trying to secure the grill mesh (To protect the subs) and kinda made a mess of things with hot glue and silicone. It's good for now, another day another project.

I plan on going out to the audiodauto.com meet out in magog saturday to see how my system holds up in the SQ catagory. Will keep you guys posted.

Test fitting the sub box:

Test fitment of the false floor and speaker insert: (Insert can be removed to show off subs)

Stealth baby!:
