actually, British, my family originated from Hong Kong whom were under British rule for until 1997, as a kid, i was taught by my parents to talk, and write with a british accent. to make things even stranger, my elementary english teacher was british. had her for 3 years. ah well. i have been trying to stop writing like that, but it's really hard, onetime i was writing my paper and i knew not to do it in the begining, but then i lost track of it as time went on, half my paper was different. lol
