Reminds me I need to replace my 160k mile bushings...lol.
hey if the car is lowered then they could be toast. They can go out quickly if the angle goes much past stock.

I got a few more goodies for the car today. I ordered them from Summit Tuesday. They deliver really fast. If I were to order it one day, I usually get it next day with just regular shipping. I liked how much they improved the feel of my RHD I just had to get some for my sedan. I got new Prothane rear trailing arm bushings and Russell braided steel brake lines to replace the old high expansion rubber lines. Luckily for me I have the trailing arm bushing replacement tool kit so getting them out will be a piece of cake, and getting them in should also be cake. Pics of goodies.
awesome, those are the lines in my car. Having that tool is nice man, i burn my old bushings off. Then with a huge channel lock, i pressed in some energy suspensions bushings. That was the cheap way of doing it, but it sure worked

I'm sure that was pretty terrible, but if it works it works right? With the tool you can have one out in a couple of minutes and have another one in just as quickly. The selling point of it was that you can do it on the car and be done with a side in half an hour.

They were toast before I lowered it. With the style you got, is there a need to clock the bushings like the stock bushing style, or does it pivot around the center shaft so there is no need to?

I don't think there is any reason for me to clock them to compensate for it being lowered since they will be free to travel. It takes one step out of the equation.

Well today I got a good bit accomplished on the old sedan. I installed the clutch and trans together first before putting in my integra power steering lines and rear mount. It turns out the Integra power steering line needs a bit of "persuasion" to go around the civic feed lines. I was worried it wasn't going to work for a few minutes and various tries at getting the lines to try to occupy the same space. Then I got savage on them and bent them to where everything cleared. It doesn't look like I really did anything to them because it's like a squiggly snake to start with. The squiggles are just not the same as they were when I started. After that I installed the engine which is a process that occupies little more than a few minutes with a couple of friends bolting it in. Then I installed a few more goodies and new pieces such as the throttle cable, clutch line, clutch slave cylinder, new ground and more new bolts. It's strange seeing the car sitting way lower than it has since I pulled the engine out with the gsr in it. It makes me feel good because it looks great in there. I really hope I don't have to pull this thing out soon because with every factory add on it takes a long time to get all that crap arranged without scratching anything. Here's some pics of where I'm at. I only lack wiring the necessary add ons that the LX didn't have such as vtec, knock, etc. I also have the coolant lines, the intake, a fuel return line and various other tasks. I need to hook up the exhaust so look for this thing to run next weekend. Hell I need to get insurance and a tag so I can break it in.
I didn't take any pics of the smaller tasks, just boom engine in.

Engine in with many of the ancillaries installed.

End of the day pic with a shitty valve cover on her to let her brave the weather. I had a real Mugen on there earlier for looks. I'm not installing a crap ton of goods to let it sit outside just yet lol.

I like the term "s**t kicker" lol.

Well this weekend went well. I've had a great time putting it together all the while not scratching it. I put all the AC stuff and power steering on. I put in the radiator and all kinds of new goodies in. I filled her up with fluids and got it all primed up with fuel and oil. It crunk up almost instantly and ran like a top. It made me so happy. That's not something that happens with cars, things going right and all. The biggest speed bump of the day was an annoying dog, a torque mount bolt, and the drain on the radiator being just a little loose and dripped a little upon filling it up with coolant. Here's a few pics.

Wiring up my vtec through the factory harness and into the existing strut tower plugs.

In running form with a stand in valve cover until I get closer to the final install of things so I don't scratch my new valve cover.

Well if you noticed that my CT Engineering intake wasn't in the bay, then you'd be right. That thing looks great but the integra bay is obviously longer because the box went too far forward into the bay. It wouldn't fit with the new overflow tank I bought. So I might buy a new K&N filter for the ITR short ram intake that I bought to go to the box and just use it. It looks nice in there but I certainly would have rather used the whole intake.

Its always awesome when stuff goes right. I hate the moment right before a new engine is started up lol. Even when I know everything is right.

Today I got me a few goodies from Majestic and Acurapartswarehouse.com. I ordered some new belts for all the accessories as well as the necessary parts to rebuild the wiper assembly. I also bought new exhaust hangers, a new trunk latch, and several other nick knacks like clips, plug wire holders, and bump stops.

I also painted my impact beam the other day but I hadn't gotten around to posting the pics yet. Looks good for something designed as a battering ram lol.

More good stuff coming soon.

Well I figured if I had the paint I might as well because it looked like trash. I might not paint the rear just because once I put the rear cover on, I hope I never have to see it again.

The jdm hatches have factory bronze glass, so yes it has it.

As for the rear wiper, if you are talking about the hatch, then yes it has it also. If you are talking about the sedan though I don't think I'll spring for the wiper because then I'd have to buy all bronze glass. That would be superbly expensive.
